Covid-19 vaccinations begins today (September 18) in Yangon Region for the 55-64 age bracket, according to the regional Ministry of Health.
Sinopharm vaccine from China is being used in these vaccination efforts.
The regional health authority says that vaccinations for people in the over-65 age bracket continue to be available if residents have not received a dose or have not completed the full regimen.
Sinopharm vaccines have been administered for the over-65 age bracket since August 2nd.
