Citizen investment volume reaches K 7,857 billion till 2019 September

Myanmar citizen investment volume reached K 7,857 billion till September of 2019 financial year, mostly in real estate, manufacturing, transport and communications, hotel and tourism and construction, according to the official statistics of Myanmar Investment Commission.

The total volume of Myanmar citizen investment reached over K 19,481 billion. The investments have already gone to 11 sectors and there are 1,637 investment businesses owned by Myanmar citizens.

Myanmar citizens invested K 4,338.135 billion (86 businesses) in real estate sector, K 3,481.305 billion (889 businesses) in manufacturing sector, K3,006.985 billion (52 businesses) in transport and communication sector, K 2,014.402 (178 businesses) in hotel and tourism sector, K 1,075.183 billion (68 businesses) in construction sector.

Moreover,  Myanmar citizens invested K 899.828 billion (12 businesses) in industrial development sector, K 805.948 billion (20 businesses) in energy sector, K 368.959 billion (91 businesses) in livestock breeding and fisheries sector, K 197.091 (71 businesses) in mining sector, K 53.747 billion (16 businesses) in agriculture sector and K 3,239.926 (154 businesses) in other sectors.

Myanmar citizen investment volume reached K 11,624 billion till the end of 2015-2016 fiscal years and K 7,857 billion during the current governmental term of three and half years. The investment of local entrepreneurs mostly went to real estate development sector.
