China has said that it will not support any organization that incites trouble in northern Myanmar, said Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun, spokesman for the State Administration Council (SAC).
Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun quoting the discussions between the Chairman of the SAC Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of China, Mr. Sun Weidong about the conditions where the two countries are closely related and cooperating, the issues that will continue to increase bilateral cooperation, and the issues to be continued for the stability and peace of the border region between the two countries.
"China has always strongly supported the peace process in northern Myanmar and said that it will not support any organization that incites trouble. I have heard that the ceasefire and peace talks are for the benefit of all relevant organizations in Myanmar and must help maintain peace on the China-Myanmar border. After easing the tension in the ground situation, they will cooperate to take the initiative for peace and stabilize the situation in northern Myanmar," Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said.
In the meeting between the Chairman of SAC and the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of China, they were able to discuss mainly the stability and development of the border region. Major General Zaw Min Tun also said that at the official press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China stated China's position regarding the conflicts in northern Myanmar.
Major General Zaw Min Tun said, “We have always had a federal system as our political goal. It is intended to go with the federal system. These are political demands. The government has openly talked about these. However, as just mentioned, armed insurrection, the act of insulting the religion that is cherished by the whole nation using armed conflict and the incitement that has caused a lot of emotional damage to the entire Myanmar people. We have to fight back against these. We have to unite again.”
Myanmar is always grateful for China's participation in the peace process. Myanmar is always accepted the five principles of peaceful coexistence and community building policies through thick and thin. No person or organization will be allowed to settle and work on Myanmar land to harm the interests of neighboring countries and the people of neighboring countries, Major General Zaw Min Tun said.
