Cattle cargo truck skids into drainage

A 12 wheeled bus carrying 20 cattle skidded into a roadside drainage and overturned in Naung Cho, Shan State on May 14 evening, according to Myanmar Fire Services Department.

A Nissan Diesel was on the Union Highway in Mandalay-Naung Cho road to Muse when it slipped due to its speed and got on a drainage, overturning as a result.

"Among the two on board, one was hospitalized as he was injured.  Cattle stuffed in the car were rescued with the help from people nearby. Firemen from Naung Cho came to that place and gave necessary assistance," said an official from Fire Services Department.

The hospitalized person is said to be in critical condition. The police are still looking into the case.

From January to April 2019, about 419 accidents and natural disasters broke out in entire nation, among them 207 were killed by accidents and natural disasters while 299 were affected. More than 2800 houses were destroyed according to the data collected by rescue works of Myanmar Fire Department.
