YANGON-------A series of bomb blasts occurred in Hlaing and Shwe Pyi Tha Townships in Yangon Region on May 30th. 

An explosion occurred in front of a gym, near the bus stop on Butaryone Street in Hlaing Township, Yangon Region, yesterday morning.

“We heard a loud noise around 7am. No one was injured. The blast occurred in front of a gym but it was only to be opened next month,” said a person living in Hlaing Township.

The windows of the gym were destroyed due to the bomb blast. 

At about 6am on the same day, an explosion occurred in the Education Office in Shwe Pyi Thar Township. Another explosion was reported in No.6 Ward Administration Office in Shwe Pyi Thar Township at over 12 noon injuring two people, according to the residents. 

Likewise, a 100-house administrator was killed and several explosions occurred at the top of Manpyay 20th Street in Tharkayta Township, Yangon, at around 8am on May 27th, said neighbourhood residents.

Similarly, a bomb blast occurred on Waizayandar Street in Thingangyun Township, in the evening of May 25th injuring three people.
