Blasts occurred in Dawbon, Tamwe and Kyauktada townships on the night of May 11, sources said.

Two explosions were heard near Dawbon Township General Administrative Office and near a hotel under Mahabandoola Bridge in the township.

“I heard an explosion near Mahabandoola Bridge around 8 pm and the glass of some houses shattered. I hadn’t noticed that another explosion occurred in the evening,” said a local.

Another explosion occurred near a traffic police outpost under Tamwe flyover.

Moreover a man had injuries while a blast occurred on Mahabandoola Road near Seikkanthar Street in Kyauktada Township last night, initial reports said. The authorities are still investigating the man who was injured in the blast.

Security forces were deployed and seen patrolling near Seikkanthar Street after the blast.
