Moe Kaung Bridge in Moe Kaung Village on Yangon-Mawlamyaing Road in Thaton Township, which was attacked by mine at about 3:30 am on February 28, was temporarily repaired and vehicles were allowed to pass through at about 6:30 pm, according to residents.

A local said that the debris of Moe Kaung Bridge was cleared and earthwork was done from around 11:00 am on February 28.

He continued, "We learned from the road officials that the main thing is that they have done it quickly so that vehicles and large trucks can travel."

The local also said that after the Moe Kaung Bridge area was repaired to make temporary ground, vehicles from both sides were allowed to cross the bridge in turns, and on February 2, vehicles can travel almost normally.

The explosion destroyed Moe Kaung Bridge which has about 37 feet in length and 48 feet in width and a house and several shops near the bridge were also destroyed.

After Moe Kaung Bridge was destroyed by mine, small vehicles were able to travel from the village road, but trucks and passenger vehicles could not travel and hundreds of cars were stuck on both sides, and traffic was allowed at around 6:30 pm yesterday.
