The National Defence and Security Council’s information team announced that civil servants who left their posts for various reasons are being removed from official blacklists, provided they did not commit any crimes.

Since February 2021, some civil servants from Union-level bodies and ministries left their jobs without permission for different reasons and were subsequently placed on departmental blacklists. Many are said to be living in concern and avoiding contact in other locations.

The announcement urges these individuals to report to the offices of their former departments where they currently reside, or to nearby township, district, regional, or state administrative offices, as well as Myanmar embassies, military attaché offices, or consulates abroad. After verification, those found not to have committed any offences—and those who had committed offences but have already served their sentences—are being removed from the blacklists.
