A protest is made on Anawyahtar Road, downtown Yangon today morning and the authorities detained one protester, sources said.

“I found one protester is being detained and the security forces made to collect paper on which slogans are wrote. The protest is not dispersed,” said a protester.

The protest is arranged by protest groups from townships, student unions, workers’ unions and General Strike Committee of Nationalities – GSCN and dispersed.

The security forces arrived after the protesters dispersed to detain the protesters.

The protesters participated in downtown protest are more than those participated in protests which used guerilla-like tactics.

The protests held in Yangon are used guerilla-like tactics with protesters dispersing after the protests. Some of the protesters are detained and police dispersed some of the protests.
