Authorities cut night-time curfew from 10pm-4am to 12am-4am in Mandalay

The night-time curfew in Mandalay district will be reduced from 10pm-4am to 12am-4am starting from March 22, sources said.

A curfew had been imposed in Mandalay District from 10 pm to 4 am, but it is changed to 12am-4am curfew in line with the Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code from March 22.

The night-time curfew has been changed in Aungmyethazan, Chanayethazan, Maha Aungmye, Chanmyathazi, Pyigyidagun, Amarapura and Patheingyi townships in Mandalay district as the situation in is calmer than before in those townships.

Although the night-time curfew has been changed, it will not be allowed to gather five or more people in public roads, lanes, parks or public places to hold public gatherings, preaching, parading either in person or using vehicle, demonstration, destruction and causing riots that disrupt the rule of law and public safety.
