Authorities arrest people supporting financial assistance to CDMs and PDFs in Ygn Region

Authorities arrested people who are supporting financial assistance to CDM staffs and fund, food and ammunitions to PDFs in Yangon Region, announced Tatmadaw True News Information Team on August 26.

On August 21, security forces raided a house on Court Road in Mingalar Ward, Taikkyi Township and arrested Khin Myat Thu (former NLD Pyithu Hluttaw member), Htein Win, Aye Min Soe, Aye Thuzar and Zaw Lin along with rice, 13 kinds of food items and medical supplies. After interrogating Htein, the security forces went to an apartment in Min Ye Kyaw Swar Street, Kyipwaryay Ward, Thingangyun Township on August 22 and 35 hand-made stun grenades, 28 hand-made smoke mines, a small package of hand-made explosive, other accessories used to make hand-made grenades and a vignette printed Letpadan GTI students' protest were found and confiscated, it said.

The authorities arrested Sabae (Medical Officer of Mingaladon People's Defense Force) at No. 127, Myintzuthaja Street, Pauk Kone Ward, Mingaladon Township on August 22, Tun Tun at No. 53, Pyay Road, Junction Ward, Htaukkyant Township, Ohnmar Khin at No. 524/A, Tun Thiri (1) Street, 30 Ward, North Dagon Township, and Aye Nyein Moe and Aung Thu Htet at No. 326 Khaing Shwe War Street, 18 Ward, South Dagon Township on August 23, Khin Sandar Win (wife of  Naingan Lin, former Minister of Social Affairs for Yangon Region) near the Central Prison (Insein) on Hlaing River Road, Ywama East Ward, Insein Township on August 25, according to a statement from the Tatmadaw True News Information Team.

Khin Myat Thu (former NLD Pyithu Hluttaw member) is included in the CDM supporting group, which is organized with former NLD Hluttaw members, as an-charge of Yangon Region at the behest of Phyu Phyu Thin (CRPH member and former Pyithu Hluttaw member in 2015). She sent information on the CDM staff to Phyu Phyu Thin through Ni Ni May Myint (former NLD Pyithu Hluttaw member). They supported each CDM staff Ks 150,000 and each daily wages worker Ks 100,000 for 400 employees. Starting from May, CDM staff in the region has been provided with Ks 50,000 each for 1,000 CDM staffs. Phyu Phyu Thin provided Ks 1.5 million to Phyu Phyu Khaing (Hninsi tailoring in Mudita Housing, Thamine) and Khin Soe Soe Kyi (former NLD MP) provided Ks 300,000 to Kyawt May Aung to support PDFs, it said.

Wai Phyo Han (in-charge of PDF for Yangon Region and former Yangon Region MP) assigned Htein Win (formerly a member of the information team for Yangon Region government) to form the People's Defense Force in Mingaladon Township. He was served as the deputy head of the Mingaladon People's Defense Force. Wai Phyo Han provided Ks 6,500,000 to Htein Win to buy weapons from Nyi Nyi Min and Min Min (B) Ba Sai, who opened PDF training courses in Taikkyi, Hlegu and Thanlyin townships and to support PDFs. It is learned that preparations are underway to open PDF training courses at a house on Court Road, Mingalar Ward, Taikkyi.

Aye Min Soe (in-charge of PDF food rations for Mingaladon Township and former NLD executive member of Mingaladon Township) was in charge of the food rations for the PDFs at the behest of Wai Phyo Han. Since March, Khin Sandar Win has been providing rice and edible oil to PDFs monthly. Food supplies were sent to PDF trainings in Thanlyin, Hlegu and Taikkyi at the behest of Nyi Nyi Min. Tun Tun also provided Ks 10.3 million for the PDFs in KNU territory, it said.
