Those wishing to travel by domestic airlines will need COVID-19 test clearance, taken within 36 hours, according to the press conference by the regional health department regarding the resuming of domestic flights. 

The COVID-19 clearance tests can be conducted in the Tourist Burma building near Sule Pagoda or at the regional medical clinic at the Aung Mingalar Highway Terminal.     

All domestic flights halted due to COVID-19 will resume on 16th Dec. and those who wish to travel by these domestic flights should have COVID-19 health clearance that is taken within 36 hours.    

It was learnt that the pilot and air hostesses who give their service on board the plane should have COVID-19 clearance. In addition there must be proper distancing on board the plane.    

In addition airlines should ensure to disinfect the aircraft at the end of every flight.   

Passengers taking the flight will have to produce COVID-19 test clearance taken within 36 hours before check-in. Passengers, the pilot and hostesses will have to wear masks throughout the flight, and  social distancing ought to be observed. No consuming of food will be allowed on board the plane, said Dr Htun Myint, Chief Medical Officer of Yangon Region Public Health and Cure Department at the press conference.  

Dr Htun Myint further said that those taking the flight can take the COVID-19 clearance test at the Tourist Burma building near Sule Pagoda and at the regional health centre at the Aung Mingalar Highway Terminal by showing their flight ticket.   

When passengers from Stay at Home regions get to Non Stay at Home regions they will have to stay in facility or hotel quarantine. Should facility quarantine be insufficient on the day of arrival the passenger will have to stay in hotel quarantine at his own expense. On the third day after the quarantine period RT-PCR Test has to be taken at one's own expense.  If no infection is found the passenger can leave the quarantine place. If RT-PCR is not conducted and only RDT test is conducted the passenger has to be in quarantine for 7 days. 

It is learnt that when the plane lands at the respective airport the authorities concerned if the region must conduct the necessary health examinations and do the needful regarding restrictions of movement. It has been announced that the national airlines of  Myanmar will resume their flights from 16th of December.
