NAYPYITAW-----Due to the disagreement on the plans of Union Election Commission (UEC) concerning General Election-2020, about 30 peoples staged a protest at a playground in Shwenatha Ward, Ottaya Thiri Township, in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area yesterday and then hundreds of supporters showed support of a protest.

“I’m present at the protest because I am going to strongly denounce the UEC’s unfair result of the general election-2020. Myanmar is now practicing the democracy system. So, if a party winsm, another party will lose. It is the tradition of a democratic nation. And the winning party may lose next time. However, we, the eligible voters, never get lost. We always win. I think all people arrived here because we can’t accept the voting result of the general election 2020,” said Han Myint Maung, one of the supporters who also talked at the protest.

He also said that he didn’t participate in the protest as the Union Solidarity and Development Party had defeated in the general election 2020. He attended the protest as a supporter. They found that there had been unfair votes in relevant townships across the nation. Moreover, people can’t accept the voting results. Under aged-18-year voters gave the votes. He also found that the students and children from a village situated in the Dhakhina Thiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw council area had been involved in the previous election. That’s why he complained to the District Election sub-commission.

“If we lose at the event, we are going to hold a protest. We would like to tell the authorities that we will come back again if the issues would be solved peacefully. At that time, we will rely on the UEC which will form the government and then they will be named as the judge. If the judge will systematically and legally form the government body, we are very proud of our democratic nation. We will welcome it,” said Han Myint Maung.

About 50 persons staged a protest against the unfair election results in front of UEC’s headquarter in Nay Pyi Taw on November 11th.

However, the police dispersed the protesters and the security was beefed up subsequently around the UEC headquarters.
