A special police force member, who is providing security at polling stations in Myaungmya, is found infected with COVID-19 virus on October 14 and two special police force members are now infected, sources said.

Healthcare workers took a swab test on 75 people using antigen rapid test kits at sports hall of No.1 Basic Education High School in Myaungmya since October 12 and no one was found infected with the virus on that day.

On the second day of the rapid test, they found one out of 90 special police force members was infected with the virus and one more special police force member was found infected with the virus on October 14, according to the public health department of Myaungmya district.

Up to 532 people have been found infected with the COVID-19 virus till the morning of October 14 in Ayeyawady Region and 364 of them are allowed to be discharged from the hospital. A total of 168 confirmed patients are still receiving medical treatment in hospitals.
