A social welfare association is opened a low-cost restaurant in Techilek, eastern Shan State, which is selling a 15-baht meal and many customers came to eat, according to the office of Hla Moe (Techilek) social welfare association.

The low-cost restaurant was opened in front of the office of Hla Moe (Techilek) social welfare association in Techilek from December 1, and was opened to the public from 10 am to 1 pm.

“We will sell for two days and take a day off. I have to cook for tomorrow. After tomorrow sale, we will take a day off. All people cannot rest. The person who cooks also cooks. If it is not enough, we have to fry food again. We don't think the customers enjoy it that much at first. It was fun and encouraging. We haven’t recalculated the money we paid for the food yet. We would like the consumers need to understand the value of a meal. We took charges to avoid wasting it if the customers cannot eat all of their meal. The money we earned from the meal cannot cover the expenses we cost but we are enjoyed helping them,” said a person from the office of Hla Moe (Techilek) social welfare association.

Hla Moe (Techilek) social welfare association is also helping free funeral association, orphanage, nursing home and relief work in Techilek.
