One of Myanmar's mainstay celebrities that have been slowly but surely stepping further and forward in pursuit of her passion is Artist Moe Hay Ko. Ever since she started out as a model, she had since strived to be an actress that can fulfil the requirements and more of every role she'd been casted for. She had since built up her own production company, she have been rather selective in accepting roles she'd been offered with; a decision spurred on by her decision to keep a close watch on her mother's health.

Once again, we take a look at some of Moe Hay Ko's precious memories of her youth.

Born 26 June 1989 in Mandalay, she is the youngest out of three siblings. She describes herself as a rather quiet child.

"I was a chilled out child. I rather liked relaxing by myself and wasn't all that excited to play. But my mom and dad tells me that I was a very sulky child and that I would be sulking all the time," said the Actress Moe Hay Ko.

She describes her schooling years as normal without any standout memories to speak of. A normal student that tried a normal amount with average results. But since then, she'd always been interested in the entertainment industry. As a child she would earnestly watch advertisments and fashion shows on TV. She recalled really wanting to be in an commercial and that she'd always take part in all events like a school dance.

Her first foray into the entertainment industry was as a model as part of the Star Models Agency with countless modelling competition and runways that had been walked on. Then came the offers for TV commercials and then DVD ones. Her hardwork as a model and acting in commercials was noticed by the film industry and soon, movie casting offers came rolling in.

On the topic of the struggles she faced during her younger years as an aspiring artist, "There wasn't much of huge obstacles in my way. But I am not descended from like a line of artists which also helped me in the sense that I always have in mind the underdog mindset of giving it my best always. But it wasn't too difficult. When I started modelling, Sayar John Lwin directed me to be take up acting, saying that I was more apt to be an actress rather than a model. I faced a lot of criticism but my best evidence is my body of work, earned through best efforts," said Moe Hay Ko.

Her career so far as an actress had produced many films that audiences will remember in future years to come. Films that highlighted her performance, hopeful Academy Award winners and more. She went on to set up Moe Film Production which produced the kind of films that she wanted exactly. Movies such as "Khoe Soe Lu Nhite" received overwhelming support from the audience. Despite her very own company finding success, she did not cast herself in every movie that she'd produced but would rather go for roles that would suit her or played supporting characters that will bring out the essence of the film more.

For now, She is taking some quiet time off from filming to take care of her ailing mother. "I want to take care of them myself while they are still around. I want to make sure that there isn't anything lacking for them. I believe all parents want to be taken care of by their children at some point. So I simply decided to cut down on film roles to take care of my mother while I still can," said Moe Hay Ko.

She had also produced a book titled "Kyama Chit Thaw" (My Loves..), a travel diary of sorts that came together with stunning photos of Moe Hay Ko herself and beautiful, local places she'd visited.

For now, she says that her audience understands her taking a raincheck from the hustle 'n bustle of film production to be with her mother more. For now, she has starred in "Pa Pa Wadi Si Yin Hkan", directed by Academy award-winning Director Wine as well as a role in another big budget film in July. As for Moe Film Production, it will continue to direct and produce films that stands out and apart from each ones that come before.

She thanks her fans and audience for always supporting her and that she is feeling serene after doing several donations and charities before her birthday.
