Myanmar reported 299 new Covid-19 confirmed cases and one death during a 24-hour period from 8pm September 12 to 8pm September 13, according to the Ministry of Health (MOH).

The latest cases were reported after 11,191 lab samples had been tested.

Until 8pm on September 13 from the start of the pandemic, the number of Covid-19 cases in the country reached 617,355 and the number of deaths 19,443.

In the last 24-hour period, 124 patients were discharged from hospital after their recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 594,463.

Covid-19 lab samples are tested in the labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, at private hospitals and labs and using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in all regions and states including Nay Pyi Taw.
