135 confirmed patients receives medical treatment in hospitals in Kayin

Hpa-an – A total of 135 COVID-19 confirmed patients are receiving medical treatment in hospitals in Kayin State and two more people have died from the virus, sources said.

“We found 15 new confirmed patients on January 5. All of them are quarantined so we don’t need to worry. We found more confirmed patients in Myawady, a town near the Thailand border, as it is populated. More migrant workers returned from Thailand daily as they have a little job opportunities but we don’t need to worry if they are kept in quarantine,” said an official from Hpa-an General Hospital.

According to an announcement from the Public Health Department of the state, the state has found 1,517 confirmed patients in total and 135 of them are still receiving medical treatment at the hospitals. A total of 19 patients: one from Myawady, four from Hlaingbwe, two from Kawkareik and 12 from Hpa-an, are dead.
