11 foreign investments get greenlight in Yangon

Yangon Region Investment Committee (YRIC) allowed 12 local and foreign investments worth 22.352 million US dollars and Ks 880 million in the industry sector, according to a press conference on October 30.

At its meeting-18/2017 on October 30, the YRIC allowed 11 foreign investments from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, British Virgin Islands and the UK and one citizen investment. It can create jobs for 6,261 locals.

At its meeting-17/2017 on October 9, the YRIC also granted four foreign investments worth 3.911 million US dollars and one citizen investment worth Ks 1,245 million. It can create jobs for 3,019 locals.

At its meeting-16/2017 on October 9, the YRIC also granted four foreign investments worth 14.473 million US dollars and one citizen investment worth Ks 2250.045 million. It can create jobs for 6,064 locals.

The investment promotion in the industry sector hit 0.9 million US dollars. There will be job opportunities for 1,073 locals.
