10th World Assembly of Asia Regional Consultation held in Yangon

The 10th World Assembly of Asia Regional Consultation  was held at the St. Mary's Cathedral on March 5th, attended by delegates from more than 20 countries.

Minister for Religion and Culture Thura Aung Ko attended the ceremony and delivered an address. He said, "there are many people of different faiths live together in Myanmar. The aim for peaceful coexistence between different religions, to respect and  build peaceful living, to prevent religious  conflicts, to assist those in need because of clashes, and to rehabilitate them, to participate in nation's building tasks abiding by the concept and doctrine of each religion that are at their core nobel.

The Religion for Peace meeting held today may bring success in environmental conservation, gender equality, religious conflicts, and education. To have better understanding among each religion and hope to increase more friendship among various religions."

The Religion for Peace meeting was jointly organized by Religion for peace international and Religion for peace (Myanamr) (Nyein Chan Myitta).
