Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen gave a warm welcome to his visiting Thai counterpart, Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha, on Thursday.
Prayut led an entourage to visit Phnom Penh in a one-day visit to hold the third Cambodia-Thailand Joint Cabinet Retreat.
Prayut planned to emphasise strengthening cooperation in border development, labour, trade and investment, connectivity, and regional and international frameworks.

Four elephant camps in Ayeyawady Region have attracted more local and foreign visitors this year than in previous years, according to local officials.
The elephant camps are located in Ngwesaung, Chaungtha, Katoeaing and Moemakha. Admission costs Ks 2,000 for local visitors and US$5 for foreigners. There are additional charges for riding elephants.
Despite the recent increase in interest, officials say the camps are still relatively unknown, and the numbers of visitors are small as compared the numbers of people who visit Ngwesaung and Chaungthar beaches.

The Rakhine State government, Marnaung Public Co and FMI Public Co have submitted a proposal to set up a tourism project on Marnaung Island in Rakhine State to the Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC), Hotels and Toursim Minister Ohn Maung.
The minister relayed the information in response to a question from Lower House MP Tin Nu Aung on July 20. The MP asked whether there were any plans to develop the tourism industry on the beaches of Marnaung Island.

The Union Minister of Religion and Culture Thura Aung Ko said much of Myanmar’s cultural heritage has been stolen and illegally sold.
The minister met with the Norwegian Foreign Minister HE Mr Børge Brende on July 6 in Nay Pyi Taw during an event where an ancient Buddha statue from the Konebaung era was transferred from Norway to Myanmar. The statue was discovered in Norway in 2011.
The Buddha statue will be put on display in the national museum.

The study found that culture and “once in a lifetime” and “you only live once” experiences are key drivers for British travellers, while visits to friends and family are the main pull for Americans.

Qsuite is the industry’s first double bed and comes with TVs and panels that are adjustable. Family, friends or colleagues on the same flight will be able to gather together in a private space of their own.
The Qsuite will be retrofitted into existing aircraft owned by the Doha-based airline with Middle Eastern flights to London, Paris and New York being the first of many to enjoy the latest feature.
