Thousands of visitors have flocked to Chaungtha and Ngwe Saung beaches, located in Ayeyawady Region, for the summer holidays, and hotels are crowded with visitors who have booked in advance.

Although the number of visitors has increased in Ngwe Saung beach, room rates have remained unchanged, according to hoteliers from Ngwe Saung beach.

“The number of guests increased after the school examination period. By the end of March, the number of visitors will reach a record high because the matriculation exam will have concluded, and tourist season will begin. We will collect room charges as normal. The hotels and guest houses are crowded with visitors. We trained our staff to provide full services to the visitors,” said Nyo Win Aung, owner of Ayeyawady Hotel and member of the Chaungtha Beach Hoteliers Association.

Local vendors are also preparing for the influx of visitors.

“We prepared our products for the visitors and hired workers to fulfil the needs of visitors. We renovated our shop because the number of visitors is increasing,” said a vendor from Htee Kabar Market in Chaungtha beach.
