Qatar Airways adds features including double bed

Qatar Airways has announced new features, including an improved business class as well as other attractions.

Qsuite is the industry’s first double bed and comes with TVs and panels that are adjustable. Family, friends or colleagues on the same flight will be able to gather together in a private space of their own.

The Qsuite will be retrofitted into existing aircraft owned by the Doha-based airline with Middle Eastern flights to London, Paris and New York being the first of many to enjoy the latest feature.

That, alongside premium upgrades to on-flight experiences such as high speed broadband services in partnership with Inmarsat (GX aviation), were also announced. It will be fast enough, for both economy and business class passengers, to surf the web and even stream videos as if they were on the ground, the airline says.

Qatar Airways will  be the first airline from the Middle East to feature thousands of entertainment options, with newly designed GUI and relaunched “Oryx One” entertainment system, alongside the  internet availability.

It will also be expanding the list of destinations by adding 14 more locations in the current fiscal year, adding to the total global network of 150 destinations.
