Tourists arrivals from Tachilek border crossing increase

Tourists visit Taung Taman Lake and U Pain Bridge during November.

More than 40,000 tourists visited Myanmar from the Tachilek border crossing according to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.

About 22,982 foreign visitors entered Myanmar through Maisai  (Thailand) and visited places of interest in Tachilek, such as the Talot market, the  Bayint Naung Statue, the Maha Myat Muni Pagoda, the national races village, and the Chinese temple.

Moreover tourists also enjoyed visiting other destinations, such as Maingphyat, Kengtung, Mongla, Taunggyi, Inle Lake, Bagan, Mandalay, Kyaikhtiyo and Yangon.
