The Myanmar national football team will play India in the first leg of the third round of the Asian Cup Qualifiers for 2019 in March.

The AFC will hold all the first legs of the third round of AFC Cup Qualifiers on a single day.

The 24 teams were divided into six groups of four teams, and are due to play home-and-away round-robin matches. The top two teams of each group will qualify for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, where they are joined by the 12 teams which qualified directly from the second round.

Myanmar is in group A, and will host the first leg against India in Thuwunna Stadium, Yangon on March 18.

Myanmar has reached the last stage of the Asian Cup only once before, but has participated in the qualifier stage five times previously. Myanmar advanced during the 1968 qualifier, but failed to do so in 1996, 2000 and 2004.
