Yadanarbon beat Singapore club

Yadanarbon FC have defeated Home United FC of Singapore 1-0 in their opening match in Group H of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup at the Mandalar Thiri Ground in Mandalay on February 22.

Yadanarbon fielded a strong squad, including veteran Yan Paing in a false 10 role. Although Home pressured early on with some of their Singaporean internationals, Yadanarbon controlled the game after 15 minutes. The only goal came from striker Aung Thu who collected a pass from winger Myo Ko Tun before the interval. In the final 30 minutes, Home piled on pressure, missing chances and hitting the bar in the 69th minutes.

It is Yadanarpon's second AFC Cup and their second victory in the competition history.
