Asean Football Federation (AFF) will now hold its council meeting at Novotel Hotel in Yangon on March 17, not on February 18.

The council meeting will approve the plans to be undertaken within this year and the international tournaments organized by the AFF.

The president, vice-presidents, the secretary, the executives, the football federation presidents of member countries and the officials will attend the council meeting.

The council meeting will likely be used to discuss approvals to be sought for holding tournaments in the Asean region and changes in the tournament program of the Asean Suzuki Cup.

The council meeting will approve the financial plans of the AFF and measures for seeking sponsors. The officials of AFF, the presidents of football federations of Asean member countries and the responsible persons will also attend the opening ceremony of National Football Academy (Yangon).

Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) hosted AFF’s council meeting last year. Zaw Zaw, the president of MFF, was chosen as the vice-president of the AFF. The MFF will host the Asean U-18 men’s football tournament in Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon this year.
