In its final friendly match leading up to the Suzuki Cup 2016, Myanmar was beaten by Oman 3-0 at Thuwana stadium on Monday.

Myanmar had made two changes from the team which had earlier played the Indonesian national team.

Myanmar created but failed to capitalise on some goal opportunities in the first half. That left Oman to score its first goal nine minutes before interval and its second and third goals at the 54 and 68-minute marks.

Myanmar replaced Win Naing Soe with Than Paing in the second half but could not break Oman’s defense. At 84 minutes, striker Aung Thu missed a goal opportunity from close range.

The Myanmar national team played two friendly matches before the Suzuki Cup, losing one match and drawing one.
