Myanmar to host 2017 Southeast Asian Archery Championship

The Southeast Asian Archery Federation approved Myanmar’s request to host the Southeast Asian championship.

The Myanmar Archery Federation plans to hold the championship at the Kyaikkasan Sports ground in Yangon at the end of January. The exact date is to be announced.

Myanmar Archery Federation is now preparing for the 29th SEA Games hosted in Malaysia.

The federation plans to succeed by competing with Myanmar’s top 23 archers including former championship winners.

Myanmar has had the chance to host the Southeast Asian Archery Championship four out of six times.

Although the Southeast Asian Archery Federation launched the championship in 2006, they have not held the contest annually. However, they will hold the games consecutively in 2016 and 2017.
