Nay Pyi Taw hotel constructions to be ready before SEA games

Myanmar seeks to complete the ongoing hotel constructions before SEA games for accommodation.

A total of 31 hotels with 2014 rooms in Nay Pyi Taw are currently available for guests. At least 80 more hotels are built in Nay Pyi Taw.
About 782 hotels are running in the country according to the Ministry of Hotel and Tourism.

“The plan is to build at least 442 hotels with 4,435 rooms. However, about 348 hotels have been opened. After completion of the constructions, the rooms will be modified with necessary facilities,” said a responsible person from the Ministry of Hotel and Tourism.

Bungalow typed hotels and high rise typed hotels are available at Nay Pyi Taw.

Myintmo Nan hotel in Nay Pyi Taw has 185 rooms and it has more rooms than the Nay Pyi Taw Hotel Zone.

Dakkina Thiri Town, Nay Pyi Taw has 3 hotel zones. It is planning to have 20 hotels.

The government is planning to add more hotels to reach at least 7965 rooms in Nay Pyi Taw.
“The hotels are usually vacant. Rooms are full when the gems and jewels emporium show or national level conventions are being held at Nay Pyi Taw. All hotels are trying to offer a best service at those occasions,” said an employee of a hotel.
