Myanmar and Thailand to meet in play-off

The matches for the second group stage of the Asian under-19 Women’s Championship concluded on December 6 with Myanmar and Thailand competing for a place in the final stage of the women’s championship in Vietnam.

Myanmar booked a place in the play-off as winner of Group B after routing the Indian team 8-0. Myanmar beat hosts Vietnam 2-1 and drew 1-1 with Chinese Taipei in their previous group games.

Thailand also topped Group A by beating both Jordan and Uzbekistan 3-0, and drew 3-3 with Iran.

Myanmar and Thailand will meet in the play-off for the final stage of the Asian U-19 championship on December 9.

The winner of the play-off will compete with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Australia, Republic of Korea, China and Japan in final stage of the Asian U-19 Women’s Championship.
