Myanmar to enter 29 SEA tournaments

The Ministry of Health and Sport has confirmed that Myanmar's athletes will participate in 29 sports and games at the 29th Southeast Asian Games to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The competitions include wushu, sepak takraw, judo, billiards and archery. But they will not be participating in muay boxing, pencak silat, horse racing, ice hockey, ice skating, lawn bowls, netball and waterskiing.

Myanmar took part in 31 sports in the 28th games with rowing being dropped this time. The country is expected to win gold medals in about 10 sports.

In the 28th SEA Games, Myanmar won 12 golds, 26 silvers and 31 bronzes in billiards, sepak takraw, judo and wushu.
