Myanmar beats Macao in Asian Cup qualifier match

Myanmar beat Macao 4-0 in the Asian Cup qualifier match for Group A, held in Macao on June 13. Both teams observed a minute of silence Myanmar’s military place tragedy before the kick-off.

Myanmar fielded its strong team, including goalkeeper Kyaw Zin Htet, defender Zaw Min Tun, midfielder Sithu Aung, strikers Kyaw Ko Ko and Aung Thu. Myanmar scored its first goal of the match in third minute by Sithu Aung. Although Macao tried to create chances, they could score in the first half. Striker Kyaw Ko Ko scored the second goal, assisted by Aung Thu. The Myanmar team made changes in the second half and substituted Min Min Thu, Myo Ko Tun and Kyaw Zin Lwin. The third and fourth goals for Myanmar were scored by Sithu Aung and Min Min Thu in minutes 61 and 73.

Myanmar has had one win and one loss at this stage of the qualifiers. The team will play an away match with Kyrgyzstan on September 5.
