Military chief visits Singapore to attend Asean defence meeting

Myanmar’s top military officers are in Singapore to attend the 15th Asean Chiefs of Defence Forces Informal Meeting (ACDFIM), led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Sr General Min Aung Hlaing, according to an announcement from his office.
While in Singapore, the Myanmar delegation separately discussed bilateral cooperation in fighting terrorism with top military brass of other Asean nations. They also discussed promoting friendship between their forces, exchange visits, mutual exchange of knowledge on military medicine and exchange of trainees.
In those talks, the Myanmar military delegation separately met a delegation led by the Philippines Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces General Rey Leonardo B Guerrero, and a Brunei delegation led by Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces Maj-General Pengiran Dato Paduka Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud.
They also met with the delegation led by Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Air Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and the delegation led by Chief of Defence Force of the Singapore Armed Forces Lt-General Perry Lim at the Fullerton Hotel.
The commander in chief left Myanmar via Nay Pyi Taw Airport on March 7, accompanied by his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in- Chief (Army). The delegation arrived at Paya Lebar Airbase of the Singaporean Armed Forces in the afternoon and were welcomed by Myanmar Ambassador to Singapore Htay Aung, Military Attache (Army, Navy and Air) Colonel Hsan Nyunt Oo and senior military officers of the Singaporean Armed Forces.
