Myanmar War Veteran Organization staged a silent protest in support of Tatmadaw (Defence Services) and against external interfering acts near Maha Bandoola in front of Yangon City Hall at 12 noon on September 11.

The silent protest was organized by Myanmar War Veteran Organisation and it was also held in Kyauktada, Pabetan, Latha, Lamadaw and Seikkan Townships.

The aim of staging the silent protest is to support Tatmadaw and against external interfering acts. We held it in five townships in the downtown Yangon. MWVO is the auxiliary strength of the Tatmadaw and so we support the Tatmadaw. We back the endeavors of the Tatmadaw as to the current issues taking place in the country. This is a ceremony to support the Tatmadaw, said retired Major Soe Myint Aung, chairman of Kyauktada Township WVO.

The silent protesters were carrying placards describing “We fully support Myanma Tatmadaw”, “May Tatmadaw the people love win a victory”, “We don’t want APHR report”, “We denounce Facebook”, “We totally don’t accept everything of undermining Tatmadaw”, “We don’t accept one-sided report of UN fact-finding commission”, and “Only when Tatmadaw is capacity, will the country make progress”.
