Season 3 of X-Factor to be air on September 15

The first show of X-Factor singing contest will be airing on September 15. The programme will air on every Saturday and Sunday at 9pm.

“The Season 3 will give variety of tastes quite different from Season 1 and 2.  Please watch and support us,” said a man responsible for X-Factor-Myanmar contest.

The X-Factor-Myanmar is carried out with the legal permission from X-Factor, an international renowned franchise of vocal competitions. In the Season 1, the judges were professional vocalists Sithu Lwin, Eaint Chit, Nge Nge and composer Zawar. Vocalist Kyar Pauk also participated as the music producer. In Season 2, the judges were Sithu Lwin, Nge Nge and Zamnu as well as composer Zawar. The winner from the season 2 was David Kendrick.

In the first episode of Season 3, auditions will be shown. Live coverage will only be aired after choosing finalists.  In the Live events, audiences will be able to vote for their favorite contestants while decision and professional input form the judges will also matter. It’s previous seasons were aired on MRTV every week as it attracted interests of audience.

It is a television music competition franchise created by British producer Simon Cowell and his company. It originated in the UK where it was devised as a replacement for another music show Pop Idol (2001–2003), and has been adapted in various countries including Myanmar. The "X Factor" of the title refers to the indefinable "something" that makes for star quality. The prize is usually a recording contract, in addition to the publicity that appearance in the later stages of the show itself generates, not only for the winner but also for other highly ranked contestants.
