Delegates to NLD’s 2nd Nationwide Conference elected

YANGON- The respective States and Regions have elected their delegates to attend Second Nationwide Conference of the ruling National League for Democracy (NLD). 
 
Final decisions about the conference’s agenda will be settled soon, says Dr Myo Nyunt, NLD’s Spokesperson.
 
“We are sending the list of invited delegates to the respective States and Regions. We held a meeting with the central executive members who will supervise for securitizing of central committee members from states and regions on June 17 and explained about the supervisory activities. Later, we are going to lay down the policy of the conference tomorrow,” said Dr Myo Nyunt.
 
The NLD’s Second Nationwide Conference will be held in Myanmar Convention Center in Yangon on June 23rd and 24th and about 1,200 delegates will attend it.
 
At the conference, future programs and policy for the party will be adopted as well as central committee members by reinforcing the central executive committee by electingnew members.
 
With the aim to hold the All NLD’s Nationwide Party’s Conference, a meeting of Central Executive Committee members was held at the NLD headquarter in Bahan Township on April 22nd.
 
Later, nine-member of Observance Committee on holding of NLD’s second nationwide conference was formed on May 28th and Thein Oo acted as the Observance Committee’s Chairman.
 
NLD had celebrated its first time of Nationwide Conference in March of 2013 and second conference will be held again after five years.
