69th Anniversary of Kachin State Day celebrated in Myitkyina Township

The Kachin State Government Committee, together with the social organizations celebrated the 69th Anniversary of Kachin State Day yesterday at its office in Myitkyina Township, Kachin State. Celebrations were also held in other townships.

President Htin Kyaw sent a message saying that he was very pleased for the celebration of Kachin State Day, and urged all national brethren to live in peaceful coexistence.

Sports competitions and funfair were also included in the event.

The Anniversary  was also celebrated at the Kyaiktaing ground in Mawwan Ward, Hpakant Township, and was attended by more than 3,000 people.

During the Kachin State Day, attendees denounced the current civil wars and discussed the unequally distributed profits of the jade mining industry.
