A border guard post in Myinhlut Township in Southern Maungdaw was reportedly set on fire on November 4.
The alleged attack happened a few hours after international observers left Maungdaw on November 3.
The administrator of Myinhlut Township said it happened at around 2am or 3am.
The post is 18 miles from Maungdaw and its security detail was apparently withdrawn after the October 9 attacks when the township administration office, schools and clinics in Myinhlut were closed.
A police corporal was apparently killed and another officer injured in an attack on a Border Guard Force (BGF) outpost in southern Maungdaw on November 3 at around 5pm. Spent rounds and a home-made bomb were reportedly seized after the attack.
The ethnic Rakhine population has allegedly fled Myinthlut Township, leaving only the Muslim community.
