Aung San Suu Kyi holds discussions on aesthetics literature with students from higher educational level.
Only if citizens equip themselves with intelligence and good attitude, will a country be able to see development. If government acting like a director is praised too much, a dictator can be seen, said State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi.
The remarks came from her talk on aesthetics literature with the students from the universities in Yangon Region held at Convocation Hall of Yangon University on August 28.
If a country is compared with a film, a director can’t make it successful alone. The people like performers will have to work together with the country, said Aung San Suu Kyi.
“The most important is the performers. The performers need to be good at acting. If the performers are clever at acting, an ordinary film can attract the people. That is why, if the people equip themselves with intelligence and good attitude, it is sure that a country will develop. If the directors are praised too much, the country will see the dictator. This is a point,” said Aung San Suu Kyi.
“If we want success in education sector, we need good and able teachers. Myanmar has seen weaknesses in education sector for many decades. Therefore, faculty members are required to improve their ability. Male students are urged to try to become teachers. They should believably make a teaching career for themselves in education sector.
I discussed with Writer cum Minister Pe Myint of Ministry of Information about how a developing country like us is changed into a powerful country. Our country is a developing country and it is not financially strong. Every organization has pros and cons.
