A low pressure area that may occur in north of Bay of Bengal on July 13 will make rain across the country especially in coastal areas of Myanmar, according to Dr Kyaw Moe Oo, Director General of Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).

He said the low pressure area may occur on July 13 and is likely to enter into West Bengal state, India on July 15. The monsoon wind will be intensified in Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea due to the low pressure area.

The strong monsoon wind made more rain in Kayin State and Mon-Taninthayi coastal areas in this week and heavy rain also occurred in Yangon region.
