Strong wind damages houses and shops in Theinzayet

Strong wind and heavy rain have damaged houses and shops in Theinzayet, Kyaikto Township, Mon State on June 10.

“The rain poured down continuously for four or five days. The wind was also strong. Three houses, a shop-house and two shops were partially damaged. A lamppost fell down but no casualties are reported,” said a police officer from Theinzayet police station.

Theinzayet auxiliary fire services department, civil society organizations and militias cleared the debris and Wunna Kyaw, state minister for planning, finance, immigration and population visited the places in the evening.
