There is no catastrophe outbreak in riot-hit Maungdaw: Health Ministry

A medical team under the Public Health Department in Maungdaw Township launched medical diagnosis on October 16th.
YANGON- The Ministry of Health and Sports yesterday night announced that there was no infectious disease outbreak as catastrophe in riot-hit Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State.
 
 The mobile medical teams under the Ministry of Health and Sports are now providing health care services to the IDPs in Sittway, Buthidaung, Maungdaw and Yethadaung Townships in Rakhine State.
 
Mostly IDPs are minor illness patients as well as medical teams also held educative talk about infectious diseases. 
 
Moreover, the health ministry cooperation with World Health Organization will be providing emergency medicines and equipments worth over Ks 163 million for Sittway, Buthidaung, Maungdaw and Yethadaung Townships by dividing three times.
 
 The ministry had provided medical aids for riot-hit region on September 26th as a first time.
