Noted film-maker Wera's documentary “Side Glance of Dragon” has been selected for screening at the Asians on Film Festival to be held in the United States.
"My film got an honourable mention for Best Cinematographer at the festival. Maung Maung Thar Myint is the film’s director of photography. I'm proud of his creation as well as the fact that we worked on this film together," said Wera.
"The film has been allowed to screen at the film festival. I have submitted the film to other film festivals. I hope we will win more awards," he added.
Wera was given the opportunity to create “Side Glance of Dragon” after winning the Creative Talent Award at the Asean-ROK Film Leaders Incubator (FLY) project. The film picked up Best Short Film at the 3rd Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival last month.
The young film-maker plans to make another documentary based on World War II with a Hollywood producer and “One Summer Day” in collaboration with a local producer.
