Internationally acclaimed Filipino pop star Charice is planning to stage a concert in Myanmar, according to entertainment firm Living Sound Entertainment.
Originally scheduled for May 2, the concert has been postponed until further notice due to clashing schedules.
“We have finished making all the arrangements for Filipino artist Charice to perform in Myanmar. We originally planned to hold the concert on May 2, but we still have not finished filming ‘Yangon Runway’ so we delayed the show as we were quite busy,” said Jaw Maran of Living Sound Entertainment.
“She has many fans in Myanmar. We will hold it at a venue where most of her fans will be able to come. Ticket prices will vary. She is also interested in performing in Myanmar,” he added.
The 22-year-old singer, whose real name is Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco, shot to stardom on YouTube. She released her first album in the Philippines in 2009 and her first international album “Charice” in 2010, which secured a spot in the top 8 of the Billboard 200 album chart on its release. She has released a total of four albums including her latest “Chapter 10”.
