A documentary film crew from the Belgian-based production studio Eccho Line BVBA recently returned to Myanmar to film the fifth season of its reality TV game show, “Pekin Express”, according to the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.

Over the course of two weeks, the film crew travelled across the country to film in around 30 destinations, including popular tourist destinations like Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan, Kalaw, and Taunggyi.

According to a press release from the ministry, the reality TV game show covers famous pagodas and temples, the natural landscape, and traditions of ethnic groups. The TV program will be broadcast internationally via Spain-based Antena 3 (A4 Television).

“Pekin Express” is a popular reality adventure TV game show that follows eight couples who backpack across Myanmar, Malaysia, and Singapore. The TV game show was shot on location in Myanmar last year.
