The 2017 Japan-Myanmar Festival will be held on February 4 in Shwe Htut Tin grounds in Yangon.
The festival will have two parts. In one part, there will be commercial stalls showcasing the latest commodities from Japan, as well as Japanese traditional food stalls, practical cooking demonstrations by Me&Chef programme, photo taking sessions of Japanese famous cartoon characters and Japanese students performing Myanmar traditional dances.
In the second part, there will be entertainment sessions of famous vocalists such as Phyu Phyu Kyae Thein, Thar Soe, Saw Lar Htaw Wah, vocalist Amon entertaining with Japanese vocalists Prizma, vocalist Ni Ni Khin Zaw singing along top Japanese entertainer Hirahara Ayaka, a street dance performance, and a show by Triqstar representing Japan. The performances will be broadcast live on MNTV channel.
The festival was first held in commemoration of the 60 year Japan-Myanmar friendship in 2014. This will be the third annual festival to be held.
