Homage paying ceremony and Myanmar Movie Day to be held

Homage paying ceremony to elders from Myanmar Motion Picture Association and Myanmar Movie Day will be held on October 13 according to tradition and customs of Myanmar Motion Picture Association.

As usual, there will be a homage paying ceremony for elders, and Nateban Zay festival. Those wish to donate can do so in the event. October 13 has been designated as the day Myanmar movies came into existence. People from films societies have a chance to meet on network, catch up with old friends and generally enjoy things in the event.

Academy award winner Eaindra Kyaw Zin said, “We’ll one day become elders. We paid homage to the elders because we learn from them by seeing, hearing and by learning directly from these veteran artistes. It is a great pleasure to meet and pay homage to them.”

Myanmar movie was come into existence in 1820.

More than 100 veteran artistes joined the event.
