YANGON- With the aim for supporting war refugees from Kachin and Shan States and disaster-hit regions, Oneness Charity Fashion Show yesterday was held at the Taw Win Garden Hotel in Yangon jointly organized by Manaw Ahla Band.
Eight well-known designers displayed their latest fashion dresses by fitting on over 50 famous supermodels at the show.
“In the past, we, the singers, had to hold a stage show. Now, eight famous designers displayed their costumes. Audiences enjoy the songs as well as they can look at the latest fashion designs at the same time. That’s why we staged a show. And then, the show aim to donate the cash through the show for entire war victims and disaster-hit people,” said vocalist L Khun Yi, Kachin national who is also the vice-chairperson of Manaw Ahla Band.
Moreover, L Khun Yi also thanked the well-wishers for their donations and she urged them to support the helps in need and the donations of well-wishers would reach to the victims directly.
It was the fourth of charity fashion show and plans are underway to donate aids for the victims during Internally Displaced People Anniversary in Kachin State.
