Over 2.8 million stimulant tablets seized in Mandalay


More than 2.8 million stimulant tablets and other narcotic drugs were seized on an abandoned car in Chanmyathazi Township in Mandalay on March 9.

Police captain T Khaung Lwan from No.18 anti-narcotic drug police force said: “Residents informed officials that a white Toyota crown packed at the corner of 73rd street and Khaingshwewar Street for three days. The car is loaded with stimulant tablets and heroin. We are still counting the number of stimulant tablets.”

The police seized heroin packed with soap cups weighting 2.2 kg, six bags of heroin weighting 1.8 kg, 0.7 kg of two heroin blocks weighting, 1,800,000 WY-stimulant tablets, about 1,000,000 million 88-stimulant tablets, 0.15 kg of sodium hydroxide and one kg of ICE.
